My name is Raluca Lupascu. I was born in Romania, on the Black Sea shore. I am a journalism graduates, a self-taught photographer. I started to take photography more seriously three years ago. From the beginning I was attracted to the artistic, conceptual photography, surrealism and the abstract. For myself, it was not difficult to define my own style in photography. I felt what I wanted from an artistic point of view even before mastering the camera. The passion for portraiture and digital creation came at a later stage. Speaking about my passions, my first love was literature, and then theater. For this reason you will find in my photos various characters from novels, stories, or screenplays. Let's say I approach an unseen writing that I represent iconographically.

As per my techniques, I like to play with long exposure time, make double exposures, create various effects using the baby lens. I like to play creatively in digital perspective to describe my emotions and moods and then edit a photo considerably.
I get inspired by my mood and my emotions. I really like to tell a story or send a message. My inspiration comes from everything I read, from the movies I watch, or paintings I admire. At the same time, my memory, the sum of all my feelings over the years, is also my inspiration.
What I know is that I really like to create with a lot of voluptuousness. What defines me is the fact that I put a lot of myself in every visual or photography creation. My intention is to get anchored in the contemporary art as much as possible.
I want to create as many photographic projects as possible to share a message, a manifesto or to talk about aspects of life in general and of the society we live in particular. I am especially attracted by the female psychology: what a woman feels, what she must endure, the grace and the sublime. That's why I use myself as a model quite often because I can best express what I feel.
