I started over ten years ago when I got my first camera as a gift for Christmas. From then on, I had not only on trips, but also on walks through nature, the camera regularly with me. It then remained for a long time that I photographed landscapes and nature and was absolutely satisfied with it.
Equipped with my new camera, I was on holiday two years ago with some friends. I wouldn't have thought you could learn that much on a trip before, but you can. I learned so much from the group's photographers about the technology behind photography, which I had previously implemented intuitively, but sometimes never before, in my pictures. But also in terms of motifs, the holiday has completely expanded my "photographic horizon".
After the holiday, my photography trip should continue. That's why I took on a completely new challenge: Portraits. I find it really exciting to get a direct reaction from the person you are photographing. A landscape can't give tips, and can't say whether it likes the picture or not.
I really enjoy getting to know people and their personality through photography and enabling them to experience themselves from a different perspective. For me, photos are more than a document of a moment. Rather, when you take pictures together, you create a moment that would never have existed otherwise. That's what portrait photography is all about for me.
