between light and shadow

Sunday, 2017-01-15 24:00h

Elisabethstr. 17, 69123 Heidelberg

between light and shadow.
Concrete, shadows and monochrome skies on the one hand, dark spaces, that are illuminated by invading light on the other. The texture of the material concrete creates in interaction with light spaces, that seem to be free of geographical determinants. Photographs emerge, that may not be located, and, through the absence of any cultural affiliation, contain the freedom to be viewed without prejudices.
The images on display origin in Madagascar, Cuba, Israel, Croatia, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Spain and Lituania.

Saul Leiter said: "Sometimes I'm amazed by how much you can do as a photographer." Sometimes I am amazed by how much you can do as a photographer with such a simple thing like a pinhole camera. Edward Steichen mentioned once, that "No photographer is as good as the simplest camera." Using the most simple camera ,I try my best.
