Stefano Di Duca

Stefano Di Duca was born in Cento in 1968.
After graduating from high school, he began working as a mechanical designer, once he found his economic independence, he began to discover photography and to attend various courses to learn the basic techniques of photography. The research and photographic experimentation found ample expression initially during his travels.
In 1999 he moved to Bologna, but it was in 2010 that the turning point took place he came into contact with some Bologna's photographers and began an intense study of photographic portrait.
His photographic technique prefers the light of the flash to the ambient light, always seeking total control of the lighting.
This means that his work takes place more in the studio than outdoors and in those rare cases that see him working outside the photographic studio, the use of flash light is still predominant, almost to recreate a photographic studio in the open air.
A strong and decisive character emerges from the photographic works of Stefano Di Duca, who invites us to reflect on the symbolism of the elements in the photo and gives his personal vision of the representation by highlighting the noblest part of the female figure which is often portrayed in an allegorical key.
