This shooting went from bad to perfect to lucky.
When Lisa and I started to plan this shoot, I instantly had the idea of showing her bodysuit against a cloudy sky. However, when the day of the shooting arrived the sky was all white/grey, which made some very soft light, but didnt look as I planned. So, we decided to shoot another outfit first and hope for the best and when the weather finally changed, I was super happy.
In fact, I was so happy, that I forgot about the second lens I was carrying around in my bag, which landed in the nearby water.
Frustrated about this accident I fished it out, dried it right at the location and again when I arrived back home. Luckily I had both lens caps and a filter on the lens, which ultimately saved it from taking any serious damage. As Im writing this blog entry almost 3 weeks have gone by and after checking it several times, it still works as fine as before. So I might've been super lucky with the lens and the weather. A shooting day, which I will remember for a long time.

Following up on my last post, heres another preview of my upcoming project called "Sól".
I met up with Maria early in the morning to shoot a series in this beautiful location near Munich.
Architecture has always been a big influence on my and my work and combining nature and artificial stuff was really inspiring me.

A little preview of my upcoming Project, called Sól.
It is the spiritual successor to NEON and envisions how the future might look if humanity succeeded in solving major contemporary challenges with an emphasis on sustainability problems such as climate change and pollution. Its core emotions are the rediscovered love for nature, freedom, hope, curiousity and intimacy.

Hi there,
my name is Raphael and I'm a fulltime Art Director with over 10 years of advertising experience under my belt. After doing random shoots, I decided to take my photography one step further and started to work on longterm book projects in 2016.
As of 2021 I've published three coffeetable books and I'm currently working on two new projects. One being fashion themed and the other leans more towards nude photography.
I'm here to showcase my work and find interesting models to collaborate with.
