El Hostal de la Gavina (The Seagull) - 1924- is a five-star hotel on the Costa Brava known over the last centrury for its air of grace and elegance, as well as the odd scandal thrown in thanks to the likes of people such as Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner.. Among other guests, the Aga Khan, Jack Nicholson, Peter Sellers, John Wayne, Britt Ekland, Laurence Olivier, Sean Connery... etc etc...it has 72 rooms and is classed as one of the world's most exclusive hotels. That said, you can wander in and have a coffee at the bar or eat at the restaurant and no one will ask who you are.

I am so pleased with my decision to buy a pinhole camera (Zero Image 2000 6x6). These photos are the results of my third outing with the camera and this time with a roll of Ilford FP4 125 (Rodinal 9 minutes). My aim was to ignore emphasis on technical issues, concentrating instead on mood and presence. The learning curve with pinhole is steeper than I thought and that pleases me doubly for the challenge itself. If you have decided to view my photos here, then I hope you are pleased you came.
