The kimono was in Camilia's wardrobe and was too good an opportunity to miss.
This was a collaboration with Dutch jazz singer Bianca Salons. The shoot depended on her sense of theatre and performance. We weren't quite sure where we were going with this shoot, it was improvised from start to finish.
A wonderfully surreal and eccentric journey to a small village near Ghent to photograph Jessy. A really enjoyable, almost fairy tale encounter.
I made these photos when I returned for a year to the dead end town where I grew up, an old mining town in South Yorkshire, England, that never recovered from the coal mine being closed down almost 30 years before.
This was a shoot with Rebecca Tun and just let her express herself in her own imitable way.
I'm an English artist who has an interest in photography, based in the Netherlands. Recently I've been changing what I want to do with photography. Where before I was more interested in aesthetics and the pursuit of beauty, I ended up feeling jaded, I felt I was only pursuing the surface of things, as a way of avoiding the world. I've struggled to move on but I've come to the conclusion, keep it simple.
